Gbamgbaode Festival is a vibrant celebration of Sierra Leonean culture, aimed at showcasing the nation's heritage, traditions, and contemporary expressions through music, dance, art and food. 

The Gbamgbaode Festival last for two days and is on the 21st & 22nd December. The festival is at Sugarland Beach, Freetown. Sierra Leone and starts at 2PM each day.

Absolutely! The Gbamgbaode Festival is a gathering for people of all ages and backgrounds who are eager to experience and appreciate Sierra Leone's rich cultural tapestry.

Please note that outside food and drink are not permitted inside the festival site. There will be plenty of food and drink options for purchase inside the festival, offering a wide variety of choices.

• NO illegal drugs, substances, or paraphernalia of any kind 
• NO weapons of ANY kind or items deemed as weapon including knives by security 
• NO outside alcohol or beverages  

• NO outside food  
• NO fireworks or sparklers 
• NO blankets or tarps 
• NO Coolers OF ANY KIND, baskets, and/or large bags 
• NO Drones
• NO flyers, handbills, posters Or stickers.

Of course! First Aid tents will be onsite staffed with Paramedics. Please ask any staff member and they will point you in the right direction. Here is some other important safety info to note: 

• Wear some type of shoes/sandals – the sand can become very hot. 
• Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated.
